CONSOLIDATION is NOT the best way for most people to solve

In fact debt consolidation cannot be
undertaken by many people.
Put another way – Who put the “con” in consolidation?
If you have unsecured debts, why on gods green earth would you
change them into secured debts. Nobody can force you to!
Do you see the danger in Debt Consolidation, or only what they
want you to see?
By taking a unsecured debt and merging it say with your house
(a secured debt) and getting a bigger mortgage to cover both,
you have jeopardized the very roof over your head. Now both
are secured under the new mortgage.
Sounds good eh! Let’s say we take your $120,000 mortgage,
on your $180,000 house and combine it with the $30,000 money
you owe on your credit cards. Now you have a $150,000 mortgage
on your $180,000 home. What happens if you continue to have
problems, or another problem arises (they seem to come in groups
sometime – like flies) – the answer is you lose
your home.
In addition, have you worked out what that $30,000 is really
going to cost you over the life of your mortgage? Finally, have
you considered that you have just taken $30,000 you had in equity
in your home and turned it into money you owe!
That’s the nasty side of debt consolidation they do not
talk about. Trust me if they are going to do you this wonderful
service they call debt “con”solidation, they will
only do it if it is good for them. It may even sound good for
you – for a while – but if you run into another
problem you and your family are toast. Are you going to let
them make you into just another statistic, just another number,
in this credit happy world?
